Chapter One Part One: Preperation

So the thought of taking time to prepare for chess study sounds absolutly tedious to me and I'm guessing it sounds the same to you, but if you want to learn quickly a little bit of set up time can go a long way to making the greatest gains in the least amount of time.

Things you will need:
1. A quiet well lit table or desk.
2. Two chess boards. (second one is optional but a plus).
3. A chess clock.
4. Study Material
a. A complete basic book
b. An in depth end game book
c. an in depth openning guide
d. an in depth midddle game guide
e. Notes (not nessesarily a notebook)
5. The Proper mind set.
6. Computer Chess (Chessmaster, Fritz, Rybka)
7. Some one much better than yourself (ie join your local chess club)
8. A chess.com account (it's free)

Now you don't have to run out and get everything this minute as a complete basic book is probably all you will need for a good long while. More than one of each kind of book is also a plus becuase while most of these books say the same things you can never tell which authors style will resonate with you.
